Site Supervisor Technician – Rainwater Harvesting Project Profile
??Role Overview
A Site Technician in Rainwater Harvesting (RWH) projects is responsible for hands-on installation, 
maintenance, and support of system components such as filtration units, recharge wells, pipelines, 
and storage structures. The role ensures proper functioning and long-term efficiency of the RWH 
system through accurate execution and regular site checks.
???Key Responsibilities
• Assist in installation of recharge borewells, percolation pits, and filtration units
• Perform pipe fitting, jointing, and alignment for rainwater flow systems 
• Support drilling and setup of recharge wells and casing pipes
• Install and arrange filter media (sand, gravel, charcoal)
• Carry out cleaning, flushing, and maintenance of filtration systems 
• Identify and rectify leakages, blockages, or flow issues
• Handle basic tools and machinery used in RWH installation 
• Maintain site tools and ensure proper usage of materials 
• Assist supervisors/engineers during testing and commissioning
• Follow safety practices and site instructions
??Technical Skills
• Practical knowledge of plumbing and piping systems
• Understanding of rainwater harvesting components and workflow
• Ability to handle installation tools and equipment
• Basic knowledge of filter media layering and maintenance
• Ability to follow technical instructions and site drawings
??Educational Qualification
• ITI / Technical certification / 10th–12th pass with relevant experience 
??Experience
• 1–3 years’ experience in: 
o Rainwater harvesting projects 
o Plumbing / construction work 
o Water system installations
